The directing style of the maker of Ninotchka, To Be or Not to Be and Heaven Can Wait is captured in original contributions from internationally known film critics, rounded off by a portrait written by filmmaker Peter Bogdanovich. The text is lavishly illustrated with photographs. This book is published on the occasion of the retrospective dedicated to Ernst Lubitsch by the Festival del film Locarno in 2010 curated by Carlo Chatrian.
